ETH Center can be reach within six minutes.Tram number 6 (direction Zoo) from the main station (Bahnhofstrasse) to the stop ETH/Universitaetsspital or Tram number 10 (direction Seebach) from main station (Bahnhofplatz) to the stop ETH/Universitaetsspital. The tram stop is located opposite of the main enterance of the Main Building.

If you plan to stay the whole day in Zurich without registering for the conference, a day ticket (valid 24 hours) for 7.80 CHF is more suitable. At registration you will get a ticket which is valid throughout the week.

After reclaiming baggage, follow the signs "Bahn/Railway" to ticket counters and machines. Once there, follow the instructions (available in English) on the machine; you’ll have to simply press the left (red) key at the bottom where it says "Zurich City" (make sure that the display shows "2 Std"). The machine will prompt a request for 5.40 CHF; it accepts either coins or CHF 20 bills, in which case gives back change. The ticket is valid during the next 2 hours for any train to Zurich as well as for the trams and buses in the city (streetcar, Strassenbahn). To reach the city take the appropriate train on platform 3 or 4, reachable with an escalator. Trains to city centre leave approximately every 10 minutes and the ride to the main station (Zurich HB) takes about 10 minutes.
